Chevy Chase Bank Headquarters
Bethesda, MD
At the intersection of East-West Highway and Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda, Brennan Beer Gorman Monk designed a 750,000 square-foot office building for Chevy Chase Bank. The complex consists of twin 15-story towers, a performing arts theater and a 5-level below-grade parking structure for 2,000 cars. The twin towers share a four-story base design that connects the two vertical elements into one huge building.
The structure is wrapped in limestone from the ground to the fourth floor, followed by precast concrete produced with Lehigh White Cement to the penthouse level. Wood panels, limestone, marble and white onyx accentuate the elegant lobby and an intricate marble floor motif is carried through the main level.
