George Bush Presidential Library and Museum
College Station, TX
The Presidential Library Center's three buildings; library-archives, conference center and academic facility; are placed to take advantage of the 90 acres of rolling meadow on Texas A&M's campus. The structure combines traditional federal influences with native Southwest architecture and the supplier, Acme Brick, purchased a special brick cutter to achieve the unique cut for the masonry units. The entry reveals a dramatic 50-foot high lobby rotunda with a crowning skylight.
