ACI 116, Cement and Concrete Terminology defines Shotcrete as “mortar or concrete pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface; also known as air-blown mortar, pneumatically applied mortar or concrete, sprayed mortar, and gunned concrete”.
Using Lehigh White Cement in shotcrete mixes yields a brighter, more reflective finished surface. This reflectivity not only creates a pleasant appearance but can reduce the need for lighting and thereby contribute to energy savings.
